Madrasah Assunnah

Madrassah - المدرسة

Madrasah Assunnah is a weekend school, with diverse family and educational backgrounds. We work closely with parents to deliver a curriculum that helps students build a strong foundation if Islamic knowledge and reading the Qur’an.

About the Madrasah

Children Classes

Adult Classes

Our dedication is to establish a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for our students, enabling them to learn at their individual speed and cultivate a profound affection for the Quran.

This is the first stage of learning Arabic language, the learner will be taught how to read, write Arabic letters and words. Translation of some Arabic words is also taught. The learner is exposed to common statements mostly used in Arabic conversations such as greetings and day to day etiquette.

Here, the learner should have a basic background in Arabic such that he/she can read and write Arabic but still needs some couching on the grammatical part. Therefore, the intermediate level mostly deals in perfecting the reading and writing skills and also in sentence construction. Grammatical couching and extensive translation is also done at this level.

At the advance level, a learner should be in a position to read, write, understand and speak Arabic. Oral communication might be a challenge due to lack of practicing hence the learner is couched on how to speak fluent Arabic.

All Students are typically receive homework assignments each week as part of their learning journey at the Madrasah.

Fees and Payments:

While we understand the convenience of monthly payments, we collect fees at the start of the month due to our commitments with schools, services. This approach enables us to meet these obligations, make essential bookings well in advance, and ensure a smooth start to the Madrasah. Madrasah Assunnah fees are structured as follows:

  • Weekend Fees: £50 for the entire year.
  • Weekday Fees: £40 for the month.

We’re pleased to offer a £5 discount if parents choose to pay the fees in one single instalment. This helps make the payment process more convenient for you while ensuring your child’s participation in our madrasah for the entire year.

  1. Online: You can make payments using the Stripe/Paypal platforms online.

The fees we charge are already set at the minimum necessary to cover our operational costs and ensure a high-quality experience for all students. By not offering discounts, we can allocate all resources towards enhancing the educational journey and creating a positive environment for our students.

Faculty and Staff:

Our teachers are carefully selected and assessed before being appointed to teach. They possess suitable qualifications to teach their respective subjects. Some of our teachers are qualified educators who also work in schools, while others bring years of teaching experience or strong educational backgrounds to our madrasah program.

All madarasah Assunnah's teachers undergo DBS checks to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

Students facing academic challenges can be assessed and a tailored action plan can be developed in collaboration with parents. We’re committed to implementing any necessary changes to support the student’s progress and well-being. Your child’s success is our priority. If you have further enquiries, please don’t hesitate to ask.

On the first day of Madrasah, your child must be five years old.
There will be no acceptance of children under this age.

Please keep in mind that parents/guardians are always eager to enrol their child as soon as feasible. However, we sometimes fail to recognise that very young children are not prepared for the "intensive learning" that occurs in the foundation stages of the Madrasah, and there are other equally important issues such as being able to visit the toilet independently, climbing stairs, putting on your shoes (again independently), and so on. In our experience, when a child begins in the "Entry 1 class" at the age of five and subsequently progresses to the next class (Entry 2 class), the child settles down immediately and normally does not struggle.

If your child does not fulfil the minimum age requirement, we will automatically place them in the following year.
The Madrasah has a cap on annual admissions. Admission will be rejected if all available seats have been filled and the limit has been reached.

  • A member of MADRASAH ASSUNNAH ), (this will not be applied if the application form is received after the cutoff date).
  • Current students' siblings (if the application form is submitted after the deadline date, this will not be applicable).
  • Order by date (first come, first served). All applications are date stamped and processed in date order. It is in your best interest to get this back to us as soon as possible. We only have a few spots available.

At the advance level, a learner should be in a position to read, write, understand and speak Arabic. Oral communication might be a challenge due to lack of practicing hence the learner is couched on how to speak fluent Arabic.

The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that you are aware of our admission requirements and that your child is "ready for Madrasah."
